PetPeePee began in 2002 when I recognized that no cleaning service in America could remove the deep pet smell from a true Oriental rug. During my nine months in the carpet cleaning industry I watched every method fall short. Soap left residue. Perfume masked the odor for a short time. Enzyme products soaked the textile and made the smell stronger. High pressure harmed wool and silk. None of these methods respected the material or reached the depth where the problem lives. I wanted a natural method. I wanted a process that protects the fiber. I wanted a result that I could Guarantee.

Why Meir Martin Built the PetPeePee Natural Method

A handmade rug that becomes wet from a dog or a cat absorbs the salty deposits deep inside the cotton foundation. The moisture does not remain on the surface. It travels down to the base of the textile where the knots hold memory. Once the deposits harden no surface cleaning can reach them. This truth led me to design a system that washes the rug through the rug foundation.

My path to this invention began long before 2002. I grew up in Jerusalem and received my first camera at the age of thirteen. Through this lens I discovered nature. I spent years in the desert and fields photographing birds in true untouched light. I traveled across Israel and Africa to document wildlife. I recorded flight motion and the natural rhythm of the sky. This dedication led me to co author Desert Birds of Israel. The book preserves rare scenes of birdlife and reflects my lifelong respect for nature.
